In terms of lack work ethic, self-immolating tendencies and complacency on the part of the United States, I don't know how anyone can reasonable expect the country to come out on top in a new Cold War with China.

This song, to me, is about how losing belief in something does not equate into losing belief in everything. Losing your faith in religion, on the contrary, can empower you to believe in yourself more. The someone to believe is you.

Toxic metals and other substances can be hundreds of miles away from industrial centers. Griffin's point is wrong there. Some of the United States more pristine, untouched areas are as, if not more contaminated than cities and industrial towns because of wind patterns.
