BIO: Michaela has been writing and composing songs on the piano since she was six years old. She writes all the lyrics, composes the music, and creates lead sheets for her songs. She is also now producing her own music, as well as for others. Michaela has a large catalog of original songs. One of her songs, "Comprehend" (fully written and composed by Michaela at 9 years old),was a Finalist in the 2008 International Songwriting Competition. The competition had over 15,500 entrants from over 100 countries. Her song was in the top 15 and received "Honorable Mention" in the "Teen" category. Three of her other songs, "Don't Have A Raincheck", "Turn Up The Music", and "We Can Stand", have also placed as either Finalist or Semi-Finalist in International Songwriting Competitions. ("Comprehend" and "We Can Stand" are available on iTunes).
In the spring of 2010, Michaela wrote and produced the theme song for the Music Helping Haiti Benefit Concert in Washington DC and performed it live at the concert. She titled the song "We Can Stand". Following that performance, she was asked to perform the song at The Organization of American States in Washington DC for several Ambassadors. She was then invited to The Embassy Of Haiti to meet and perform the song for the Haitian Ambassador to the United States, Raymond Joseph. In April, 2011, she also performed the song at The Japan Relief Benefit Concert in Los Angeles, backed by The Agape Youth Choir.
Michaela is also a featured singer on two Dance Dance Revolution games for the Wii, "Hottest Party 2" and "Disney Grooves" . Michaela started acting professionally on stage at five years old, and made her TV debut as a co-star on the Nickelodeon show iCarly at nine. She also dances hip hop.
Currently, Michaela is collaborating on a major book/cd project. For this, she is responsible for the entire music portion of the project, including composing, arranging, producing, and singing 15 songs. The scheduled release date for the book and CD is January, 2012.
