I want the world to know how my life changed when I was 13. I was having a really hard time. Both of my grandmothers had just died, my first dog had died, and now my parents were about to file for divorce. My life was literally falling apart. But one day, when I was really down and actually considering suicide, I wandered up into the attic of my house. I don't know why, it was like I was being called up there, like there was something up there I needed. I went through seven different boxes, finding nothing. Then I went into one last box, and I found an old leather jacket, and a bunch of old vinyl albums. They were "Off The Wall", "Thriller", and "ABC". I started listening to Michael's music, and I really liked it. I went out and bought a few CDs, and I finally stumbled across the song, "Keep The Faith" from the "Dangerous" album. I listened to it over and over again, everytime ending in tears. I stopped thinking about suicide, and I kept my head up. From there, I became a huge fan, following Michael's every move until he died in June 2009. I can honestly say that I fell in love with him because he saved my life. I don't know what I would have done if I hadn't bothered to listen to his music. I feel like God sent me up into the attic that day, and I'm glad He did.
I guess what I really want to say is, thank you Michael, for making a difference in my life. I miss you, and I wish you had the chance to finish what you started here on Earth. The world needs you, Michael.
