Slumberously burns the sun
Over slopes adust and dun,
Leaning southward through September. . . .
I forget and I remember,
Life is half oblivion. . . .
Somnolently burns the sun.

How to be a Minhajian (in Five)
1) Recognise all needs/desires as functional stages.
2) Recognise as "good" the values which allowed them to be fulfilled.
3) Recognise that this recognition comes from the self, thus that the more you follow it, the more fulfilling is life. If you do not follow it, you are lost in an alien realm of the conscience.
4) Recognise your idea of "what is best" (i.e. no suffering). This may be expressed as a metaphor (it is the long-term "who"/"where" you would like to be). Some may see it as "God", which either way must be the sustenance of "what is best".
5) Recognise your existence as a reflection of "what is best", setting your priorities around it. Remember that what you want is who you are, meaning there is no externality and no need to HOPE for anything. The aim of life is peace, so live peacefully in your environment and in yourself, and you will find everlasting peace.
Minhajians believe in "God", but see it as the human-projection of what is best. In essence, they believe in the human ability to discern "right" and "wrong", "better" and "worse". In order to know it, you must know yourself, and in order to be fulfilled, you must live by it. Otherwise, you lose your identity in an alien realm of the conscience.
When one prays to/meditates on "God", one sincerely acknowledges what is "better" and "worse", and reaffirms the desire/intention to live accordingly.
Just as "God" is a projection from within, so is Heaven (the home of the heart). What is "good" is what helps progress, thus "God" is the elimination of suffering and equalising renderer of justice. It is also the sustainer of "what is best", being the environment where we (as humans) can be at peace.
Thus a Minhajian will most likely like poetry!

"Evening Star"
I saw it from that hidden, silent place
Where the old wood half shuts the meadow in.
It shone through all the sunset's glories - thin
At first, but with a slowly brightening face.
Night came, and that lone beacon, amber-hued,
Beat on my sight as never it did of old;
The evening star - but grown a thousandfold
More haunting in this hush and solitude.
It traced strange pictures on the quivering air -
Half-memories that had always filled my eyes -
Vast towers and gardens; curious seas and skies
Of some dim life - I never could tell where.
But now I knew that through the cosmic dome
Those rays were calling from my far, lost home.

So far my essay is on the lack of recognition of spouse sexual assault and making it less punishable than stranger rape-a concept australian society rape myth endorses must be rid of.

Rather than lots of little references, go for one big fat one.
That's great I am busy too! Doing an essay on spouse sexual assault and society's views on it.
One of the subjects is "Islam in Modern Society", but I might suggest "Modern Society in Islam", at least as a start.
Except the acceptance
Of dissatisfaction.
It is the very thing
That makes existence BREATHE,
For where could THIS come from
The people call the sea,
And which ITSELF must yearn
Since it attempts to touch
The Horizon's blank heart,
Being unsatisfied
With escorting my own
To the very outskirts
Of ---- nobody knows where...
It has something to hide
(As if I really cared...!) --
God! Satan! whatever
Knows that I need no gift
For which I'd sell my soul,
Except perhaps a HINT
Of whatever it is
This seeking makes me miss.
