I can't speak for this gentleman and his pillow technique, maybe it will work for you, but I highly recommend Tommy Igoe's Great hands for a lifetime DVD that advocates the opposite approach to this to to get a great, grooving (not dead) sound...check him out, try this and then see which you pref...

I couldn't agree more that Taylor doesn't play so well with the Foo Fighters...I don't know why it is, but it's very strange to mere, how much nuance and feel he brings to this song and yet in the Foo Fighters he's like a boring truck ploughing through the songs...His playing here is magic
