About PCJB - The Pennsbury Concert Jazz Band
One of the premier high school jazz ensembles in the nation, since it's beginnings in the early 1950's, the musicians in this group have performed jazz music at a level not typical of high school age students.
Over the years they have shared the stage with such jazz notables as Stan Kenton, Count Basie, Maynard Ferguson, Clark Terry and in recent years with Dave Stahl, Bill Watrous and Terrel Stafford. They've performed on the Tonight Show with Johnny Carson, at the Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland and the Peoples Republic of China. They were participants in the inagural Essentially Ellington Festival at New York's Lincoln Center hosted by Wynton Marsalis and were selected for the 2007 Monterey, California Jazz Festival.
