One of the first Vrykolakas. I was turned when I fed off of a sheep that had been wounded. Little did I know that the sheep was attacked by a rabid wolf. This, in time, affected my entire person. No longer alive, but living dead. When I died, the villagers put a wax cross and piece of pottery with the inscription " Jesus Christ conquers " on my rotting corpse. This usually was a sign to send us to the next life, but I awoke never to be the same. The pain from the wax cross melted into my chest and from that pain I sprung up out of my stupor, knocking the pottery piece into the floor. The world was new and my senses were over whelming. I ran out of the crypt and into the village square, screaming with insanity. The villagers tried to stop me to no avail as I slaughtered them like the sickened cattle that they were. I remember a man screaming Save her, save her. Please somebody save my daughter. As I took her life I could feel the warm blood in her veins. Suddenly I sank my teeth into her neck and held her close as her small fragile body convulsed in my arms. It was intoxicating. I felt like I had the strength of twenty men. The villagers started chasing me with pitchforks and sticks with fire on them. I ran through the country side like the wind blowing through the trees, barely touching the ground as I distance myself from the village mob. With my head in focus, I could hear the repeating sound of the father saying save her. I noticed a pain coming from my chest and I realized the burn mark from the waxed cross was still smoking. I put my hand over the wound and it burned my palm with an X shaped mark. With these reminders constantly tormenting me I soon donned the name X save her Cross.
