Recorded about 1959-60, and still to this day, the finest recording of the work, to my taste. There are longer versions, and shorter versions, but Ormandy hit the tempo precisely right, for me. Ravel would have been indignant about this tempo! Also, the BEST solo trombone solo of ANY bolero.
