We have provided professional audio, video and music-production services to national and local media, educational, corporate and non-profit clients for 15 years. He is fascinated by discovering what makes things tick and how to creatively intersect with them, whether it is the inner vision of his clients or new ways to use the latest technical advances.
Rodneys thirty-year professional philosophy has been to make accessible to independent professionals the full range of music & video production services and technology available to large-budget endeavors. Creative Approach:
When I worked on Hard Coal I combined mountain music & blue grass. Then, like a DJ, I sampled the sounds of working coal picks and dynamite explosions. The banjo, acoustic guitar and dobro create the environment and sense of place. The samples and altered sound communicate the cold, loneliness and stark, dire existence the minors and their families face as Big Oil moves in to take over.
Rodney approaches every project weather composing, teaching or filmmaking as part student, part sage, part award winning professional and part playful wide-eyed curios child. He draws on his extensive music, film and TV knowledge combined with his artistic and emotional sensitivity to find the most creative and innovative way of interpreting the clients vision. And he delivers on time and on budget.
