Were Not FamousYet Without a question, the future of everything, a breath of fresh air, the new freshness, introducing Meladesol, out to jump-start the music game inspired, quite simply, by a pure love of music. Meladesols goal is to change the focus of entertainment, bringing the new to the new, keeping it fresh. Better known as Ty and Rell, this tandem of Philadelphia talent has been exploring their musical horizons since 1999. Musically, Meladesol creates a soundtrack of real life experiences, capturing the honesty and emotion of daily life in a fusion of melodies and harmonies. The sound is futuristic funk rooted in homegrown soul and old school hip hop which bend tradition without making it break. They make music you can feel and relate to. Rhythm and blues, jazz, and hip-hop are blended to form a unique sound they call phunk". Because this versatile duo seeks variety in music, no two tracks are alike. Meladesol does not retreat from different musical styles. As a result, Ty and Rell, attract a diverse audience of musical tastes. This versatility translates into more than just music. Meladesol is invested in all aspects of business beginning with a production company, Phuture Entertainment, and a writing company Tyrell Inc. Ty and Rell record and produce mainly in their Northeast Philadelphia studio. They also record out of the well respected Gamble and Huff Studios, Larry Golds and Sterlin Sounds in New York. Meladesol has worked with Philadelphia-known producers Leon Huff Jr. and Johnny Chrome. They have also recorded with various artists such as Scratch, of the legendary Roots Crew, Raekwon, and Young Chris. Meladesol is a regular on the Philadelphia nightclub circuit at open mic nights appearing at the Five Spot, Clef Club, and North by Northwest. Performances in New York City have included Black Entertainment Television's (BET) nationally televised show, 106th and Park, and the legendary Apollo Theater. They have also performed the national anthem at various NBA and MLB games.
