if you look back at Super Bowl lll, the real MVP was Matt Snell, not Joe Namath. Joe was sent out to NOT lose the game. He lost so many games with his multiple interceptions. Ewbank told Namath to manage the game, they sent Snell to win it.

According to Eddie Futch, Frazier protested and Futch stopped the fight against Joe's wishes. Frazier never quit in any fight, but Futch , realizing that Frazier's melon was so lumped up that it could explode with one more punch, mercifully stopped the fight.
