Sunset Beach was one of a kind. A great looking cast, a beautiful beach town and and amazing set of storylines that were woven together to be wacky, wonderful and purely addictive.
During the 3 year run from 97-00, we saw everything from the outlandish and hilarious to the emotional and magnetic. This soap had everything.
Back in 98, the tidal wave and eathquake storyline was mocked as being 'too out there' - but now it has happened in reality only a few months ago. The tongue - in - cheek and whimsical comdey-drama was well ahead of it TV time, and inspired many a successful show of the same genre, such as Footballer's Wives.
Over the next few months I will be uploading clips which I feel were great dramatic moments, terrifc performances and the emotional scenes which proved this soap had depth and explored some great aspects of the human condition. I will also post some of the fantasies and scenes which had us in stitches!
I will be mainly focusing on Ben/Maria/Meg, The Richards Family, and Gabi/Ricardo/Antonio - and last but not the least the woman who ties all of Sunset Beach together the brillant Annie Douglas!!
This soap was glamorous, glitzy and bitchy with heart, and though it ended 10yrs ago, it will live on forever in the hearts of the die-hard fans!
