The guitar riff near the beginning (after the Japanese harp) sounds identical to the one in Yu's theme.

I could've sworn that when I beat Nitros for the final time, I got a different cutscene. Don't remember it exactly, but he basically insulted Bomberman again, said that he hated him, and walked off. Don't remember if he gave me the power-up.

Not sure what caused that scene, either. Maybe it was ...

@Kanata141 That's only because the game just came out, people will probably figure out combos as the game goes on.

Still, though, this game certainly doesn't seem like a dial-a-combo kind of game. It seems like spacing and proper persona use is more important.

I swear, they'd better get Jeff Bridges back for this game. I mean, his character in Tron Legacy was basically himself, nobody else could really pull it off.

Man, whenever I fight a Hazama with Tager, I nearly give up on the spot, because the matchup is that bad. Hazama's mobility makes it nearly impossible for Tager to land a good hit.

And yet Mike Z cannot only destroy this guy, but he can do so while clearly toying with the guy just to land a doub...

Mortal Kombat's story might not have been great, but it was the storytelling that makes it so popular. If this game had the same style of fully animated cutscenes, stories for most of the characters, and involved everyone, it would have been much better received.

I was incredibly disappointed with Episode 54, but for the life of me, I couldn't figure out why. Now the answer has been revealed: you put all your effort into writing this one, while the other one got the dregs of humor.

Really? Not enough time to finish? Was Elysium really that bad?

@optionlV You can't use Algol's style for created characters.

However, I suppose he could just make a Dr. Doom costume for Algol. He wouldn't be able to actually name him Doom, but he'd have a throne and FINGER LASERS, so it would be a fair trade.

@Lavos2007 Maybe Elysium beat him so many times he couldn't fit that fight into his video, and he decided not to put the penultimate battle in this episode so that the final episode wouldn't just be one fight.

This sounds like a rejected "Tales of..." boss theme. Wouldn't expect something like it in Soul Calibur.

Come on, you played two chapters. There was probably enough time to finish the story in this episode.

But I guess the bad ending is a decent cliffhanger.

@ArachnosSoldier To be fair, in that route, Hisao is an idiot who forgets to take his meds every day, a problem he doesn't seem to have in other routes.

So the events that occur during the blindfold scene are entirely his fault.

This game's plot is an absolute disaster.

Sadly, Algol can't be used in creation, I'm pretty sure.

Maybe Viola'd make a good Doom? Or maybe Devil Jin if eye lasers are as good as finger lasers to you.

Hey, I just noticed that Chie and Kanji expend some hit points to use their special physical moves, like in the game. A nice touch, though I hope it doesn't end up ruining them gameplay-wise.

Naoto's probably going to be either the best or worst character in the game. Depends on how easy it is to deplete your opponent's skull meter.

Kind of reminds me of BlazBlue's Arakune, a bit. Who reminded me of the Shadows in Persona 3. So it kinda went full circle.

Max, I swear to God, if you don't create a Dr. Doom, I (and hopefully others) will create a horde of Weskers and spam them on you until you relent.

The mimic thing was beginning to kill my hype, but then this music came and brought it back.

Amazing video. Music's kind of obnoxious, but I can deal with that.

Also, I'd give a shoutout to Mr. Yamamoto from Super Famicom Wars. Maybe not the most overpowered CO, but definitely the original.
