They had the dual light sockets with the pull chain. Maybe I'll buy a couple more just in case. The bulbs I got were slightly mismatched because they had one each of Ecobulb and Ecobulb Plus on the shelf. One has a round ballast and one has a polygonal ballast but I don't see a difference in the quality of the light.

Yes, HPS is very effective and I end up with very strong tomato and pepper transplants without the hassle of hanging more than one fixture. I wouldn't mess with switchable MH/HPS stuff except for the pleasure of trying different things. You can get HPS bulbs that put out more blue light.

I'd be curious to see how this would stand up to a legal challenge. An inspection of a structure to see if it complies with health and safety codes is different from an a search for evidence of a crime. When code violations are found a person is usually given an opportunity to correct the violations without criminal sanctions. When evidence of a crime is found a person usually faces criminal sanctions.
