I assume you mean "super capacitor" and NOT "superconductor" towards the start of the video?

Pretty sure he means "up to 400 farads" since no EDLC I'm aware of can take more than about 3V (typically 2.3, 2.5 or 2.7 rated). The capacitor he is holding when he says 400v has 2.7v written on the side of it. Easy slip to make - so correction is not meant as a criticism.

Nice coil and very pretty to watch. Very sceptical about claims of 'life force' and such for it. Shame to mar the real and exciting science by attaching unnecessary and highly dubious claims.

If you're connecting caps in series you should look in to load balancing them. Essentially, small differences in their capacity (the specs have a tolerance and they can age differently) can lead to capacitors becoming fully charged at different points and expose one capacitor to too high a voltag...

Minor point - currently almost all hydrogen is produced by reforming of natural gas (oil industry again) and NOT by electrolysis of water (which as you mention is extremely inefficient).

Having played with a variety of LEDs and reflectors I'd like the TIR on a light with this much output. If you are able to engineer it then a selection of user changeable reflectors would of course be the best option. Thanks for the update, can't wait to get my hands on it!

It's a good DIY make and a nice video, but it is NOT a crossbow. With a crossbow the energy is stored in the flexing of the bow section (aka the prod). In your case it is stored in the elastic bungie cord. What you've made is more akin to a slingshot. Not wanting to be mean. I'm just a pedant.

If you are going to hunt animals you should do too things:

1) Have a good reason - be it food, pest control, conservation, etc

2) Have the equipment and aim to be able to reliably achieve a relatively clean and quick kill.
