Most chickens never feel the sun on their backs or breathe fresh air until the day they are moved away from the storage area and shipped off to slaughter, and in this process, many innocent chicken legs, necks, and wings are broken. My friends save the chickens! What have they ever done to you? 70% of the steroids made in the US are used on live stock. Do you really want to eat that anyway? Chickens are our friends; they have the mental ability of a large primate, so they aren't stupid. Why kill such a smart and beautiful animal when there are much better meats out there to eat? After the chickens reach the slaughterhouse, they are hung upside down by their feet and moved through a huge conveyor belt where people stand around with knives and slit the live chicken's throats as they pass. The still living birds are then scalded to death in a huge vat of hot acid to remove the feathers. Do you really want to eat the poor dead chicken that went through all that? Does this put a foul image in your head about the chicken farming industry? Well if it did, then good. No chicken ought to have that fate.
