Mauricio Morkun grew up in the north of Luxembourg. He hadn't any idea about what electronic music was at this age. But as a new family moved into his town, everything changed. On a sunny day, in 1996, as long as he could remember, he was playing in the garden with his brother and could see that a new boy, who recently had moved in town, came from school. He decided to follow him and talk to him. The guy didnt hear Mauricio calling because he was listening to music. So Mauricio decided to catch up with him to get his attention. Both started talking to each other and after sharing a few words, Mauricio noticed that the boy was a bit older than he was. Mauricio also wanted to know what kind of music the boy was listening to. The guy let him listen and at this moment Mauricio Morkun could consider that he got the chance to listen to one of the greatest tracks he had ever heard in his whole life. The track was called: Children (Dream Version) by Robert Miles. Since that day, Mauricio never stopped listening to electronic music. His preferences were Trance and Hard Trance. In the following years, these preferences sometimes changed, but in fact Trance was still at the first place. In 2004, Mauricio Morkun got his first turntables, mixer and vinyls. So he learned to mix with videos from Youtube and with some friends. Mauricio played also a few times in bars, but mostly for private parties. He chose BooT-ZooT as DJ and producer name. The tracks he played got a harder style. In 2006, he finally started producing. The first tracks he produced sound more like Techno. Between the year 2008 and 2009, he changed his artist name into Mauricio Morkun. Now, he tries to produce some trance music. His dream is, to share his passion of trance music with all the people.
