Amun and Horus are pure bred silver Egyptian Maus born in England in 2001. Maus make fantastic pets, but don't like to be left alone. They will follow you everywhere and love to have your company. If you are thinking of getting a Mau then please make sure you will be able to give it the time and love that it needs. If you are going to be out all day at work, for example, then at least get another Mau so they have a bit of company for each other. Maus are very patient, loving and gentle with their owners. They can be naughty though, knocking over ornaments just for fun, so if you have precious things, it may be worth locking them away in display cabinets! Amun is fine, but Horus will knock anything and everything over just to watch it land and smash on the floor! They are such characters, and are very much valued members of the family. We could not imagine our lives without them:)

hi,i was reading your coment about fedding the cats whit raw meat,can you please explain me how you do that? just buy the meat from the super market and put that on his plate?

My silver Mau is now the star of the only Egyptian Mau calendar on Amazon. :) I thought I'd pass on the good news since you're a fellow Mau owner. I am hoping to do a calendar with all the Mau colors some day but it's hard to find people local. :(

Thanks for your note on Egyptian Maus. I hear you on the rarity of Maus. I'm in the US, and I believe there are just 5K of the cats here. I'm trying to find some local owners to do some photo shoots with (I'm a photographer in my spare time - www.myegyptianmau.com has some of Wintermuse's glamor shots) but it's been impossible. :( I love this breed so much that it seems like a real shame that there are so few of them out there.
