Matt Parris has been writing and performing music since the age of 11. He began performing in a middle-school age rock band as the bass guitar player in North Carolina. After relocating to Myrtle Beach, SC at the age of 14, Matt began to play the guitar. Over the next few years he gained a small local following performing at open-mics and talent shows. He is now at the age of 21 proficient in five instruments, the guitar, bass guitar, drums, mandolin and the piano. His songs are primarily performed on guitar or piano. Matt is now a student at the College of Charleston in South Carolina, and working all the time on writing new material.
