"The whole concept is based on something......which is based on something else.. *giggles*"
- Matt Bellamy about the stage setup for The Resistance tour
"My daughter loves Hannah Montana.....which is absolute crap"
- Christopher Tony Wolstenholme
"That's quite a laugh you've got there, that's special....spectacular"
- Matthew Bellamy to a weird interviewer
Interviewer: "Who do you think is the coolest woman of all time?"
Matt Bellamy: "Mary, mother of god....she got pregnant and convinced everyone she was still a virgin."
"I could die, my head could blow up, I could kill Dom or I could...I could...like...get naked and f*ck Chris - no sorry - *Chris giggles* 'Who knows, anything can happen, just come and watch, you never know~~~..."
- Matthew Bellamy
"We were all off our faces on mushrooms when we recorded Plug In Baby... There was this big field next to the recording studio filled with them. So we ate them all. I don't know what we were doing, but we all ended up naked in a jacuzzi and I went deaf in one ear from falling asleep in the sauna..."
- Matt Bellamy on recording Plug In Baby
"Most bands release a live album when they become old and fat. We wanted to be different."
- Matt on the release of live album Hullabaloo Soundtrack.
"Paris Hilton came to the LA show. But she left during Knights of Cydonia, which is the first song on the set. If we're offending Paris Hilton we must be doing something right."
- Matthew Bellamy
Matthew Bellamy: "You know..if you develop a bit of a closeness with someone of the opposite sex, it can, it can uh..can develop.."
Dominic Howard: "Are you talkin' about love?"
Matthew Bellamy: *giggles* "Maybe."
Dominic Howard: "Awwww."
Matt Bellamy: "If I wanted to record a solo album, how concerned would you be?"
Chris Wolstenholme: "If I could play bass on it, it'd be alright."
Matt Bellamy: "After the seaside tour is over, me and Dom are going to train as Punch and Judy showmen;we've already bought all the props and it's great fun. All we need now is a Black Holes-style tent"
Dom Howard: "It'll be really excellent - we wouldn't want to do this in an amateur way, so we've set aside 3 months to train properly. Matt wanted one of our props (the string of sausages) to symbolise alien DNA strands, but I told him that was too highbrow for our audience;I mean, they're just kids...We tried to get Chris to act as Mrs Punch, but he told us to piss off, sadly."
Chris Wolstenholme: "I'm going straight home after the tour. I'll probably need therapy and counselling after this. Expect a solo album in 2008."
"The moment I reached my highest professionally I was left by the woman I love. She's an Italian girl who lives in the area of Lake Como, where I bought a house to be with her.
To have your heart in pieces while every other aspect of your life couldn't go better is a traumatic experience. In appearance, life is fine. But as you put your day in focus, everything turns grey. What happened made me realise that complete, absolute happiness doesn't exist. She has left me, but I'm not giving up. I will do anything I'm capable of to win her back. I'm going to try everything." -He says it all in one go, no pauses, voice slightly choked
- Matt Bellamy about him and Gaia braking up (Ifeel so sorry for him!)
"I like music because... it makes me feel the most free I've ever felt in my entire life and gives me the freedom to do anything without much consequence."
- Dom Howard
"A lot of people from the local college would come down and hang out at The Cavern Club - Dom would be there and their friend Tom Kirk, who still works for them now. And Matt would be down there a lot, in his usual corner by the mixing desk. He was a bit shy, quiet, talking very fast, giggling like a little child - exactly how he is now. The only major difference was that back then they all had long hair. And I'm sure Matt used to wear a Radiohead t-shirt..."
- Ronnie Kerswell, an early supporter of Muse, and now a journalist for Rock Sound. Talking about when she helped run The Cavern Club.
