The rotary engine seals dont seal very well so it passes alot of unburnt fuel into the atmosphere.Mazda battled to cope with the emmision laws so alot of states wouldnt allow the sale of the rx8 sending them into financial difficulties. Mazda have come up with a 5 year plan to fund and redesign a more fuel efficent rotary concept through the sale of their skyactiv car technology shit.The release date for the new concept is due 2017 hence my comment.

yea... the problem with my Bessler model... there was too much friction, and it was roughly made. it would take some precision machining and more work
