i heard this in my dream last night and wrote it down not knowing what it was... I showed it to my band director and she was like "Oh that's Percy Grainger!" and i was like D: i knew it sounded like him... lol so now im upset that its not my own original composition.. still a great piece though.

@tromuniapp nope...havent heard of it, ill look it up. im a sophomore french horn player, but play all the brass instruments. trombone is the most fun in jazz band, but its hard.

@cowonabun this whole song has horn solos all in it... but then the alto saxs are also written in to double it. because of that, i hate alto saxs. stealing all the horns solos and thinking they can sound like a horn -.-

very nice; as a tip, try to work on your vibrato- sounds like you can do it, but (personally) the alto can use a lot more emphasis. Sounds like you got all the technical issues under ur fingers..Impressive!

I had been eyeing this score in music theory all semester, its quite an eyeboggling sight on paper, and i had been curious to know what it sounded like. Then my music theory teacher turned up the volume and played it with surround sound.... and almost everyone in the class left that room shaking ...

so what type of hose did you use, how long, and where would i drill the holes? this is so cool, i tried making an instrument out of piping and an alto sax mouthpiece but the notes dont work all that well.. do the placements of the holes matter?

Our band just played this. And as a french horn player, congrats to whoever hit that high C, just after "K". It took me weeks to build up to it. As a whole, I think the band lacks a sense of blending; I can't explain why, but it sounds like a bunch of individual players, not one cohesive band. Ov...
