I kill covenant badies as a hobbie and risk my life pretty much every day! As a child I was taken from my home planet and I was sent to a UNSC spartan training program where they had abducted 74 other kids with extraordinary skills and talents. They put us through rigorous training and we lost some people on the way but eventually we were ready to become "Spartans" from 75 small children we ended up with about 12 extremely skilled super humans. Although once the covenant appeared those numbers slowly dropped until I was the last one remaining and I am now the lone wolf: The Master Cheif
