In the background you can see the pagan altar devoted to Rusalki - female ghosts living in water and forests (Masovia, Poland). This altar is located in a birchwood because Rusalki often sit on birches' branches.

Triglav(Trzygłów)means three-headed(-_-(-_-)-_-). He is slavic (pomeranian-polabian) god of sky, earth and underworld. It's rumoured that he has three heads because he rules these three kingdoms. So we can call him the Axis of Universe. He had temples in Szczecin, Wolin (Poland) and in Brandenburg (Germany). During the period of christianization, these temples and statues of Triglav were completely destroyed. His sacred animal was black horse. It used to be an oracle. Some hypothesize that Triglav and similar god called Troyan are local forms of all-slavic god called Veles or Volos (lord of magic, cattle and the dead). Triglav is also god of war. Probably, the highest mountain in Slovenia, was named after the god.

Probably the most powerful pre-christian cult in Masovia was the cult of Svarożyc (latinized Svarozhitz). He is slavic god of fire and probably sun god.
