And it just angers me that no one seems to care about history saying its useless, and on another hand the same people says we should work to p...

if i remember correctly Iwo Jima was the one and only battle in the pacific where the US had more casualties than the IJA. (observe casualties = dead and wounded not just dead)

@LeCreuset05 you dont know how much supplies the japs had, a siege could take months maybe even a year and would take up much american forces who would be needed elsewhere. US capacity was great but lets not forget that the pacific was a low prio. most troops and equipment went to europe so every...
