Thanks for showing a comparo between the Zalman and Scythe, the Scythe clearly looks to be the easier one to control and I agree it does look better than the Zalman. Just wondering, is the Skythe still performing and functioning o.k. after a year?

In regards to slicing things away from you instead of towards you, why not just use a pair of heavy duty shears, that's much safer!
