About this user
There's something that annoys me so much I want to cry. Whenever I watch a video where there is an asian violinist, there is always a comment about how the person is "just a technician, a robot, no feeling" when I can clearly hear so much emotion imbued within the music. These types of comments seem to only pop up under videos of asian musicians (especially violinists and pianists). I am sick of it. Every human being has emotion, unless they have a legitimate psychological disorder. The only difference is what you see. Too many people allow their prejudices to affect how they experience music. Racism, towards anyone in any of its forms disgusts me.
I play the violin, am 15 years old, and live in New York. I'm currently obsessing with and practicing the Butterfly Lovers Concerto, and the 2nd Movement is giving me a lot of trouble :( I've never been very good at double-stops. I definitely want to post it once I've almost got the hang of it.
