Born in 2003 from the deep-rooted love for 80s and german heavy metal, the Graveyard Ghost propose their personal metal recipe, deriving from a mixture of various musical ingredients and skillfully cooked by musicians active for years in the local underground metal scene.
The proposed genre is melodic, with thrash and power influences, though tremendously heavy.
Together they recorded two CDs, a full length ("Crystal Tears", 2003) and an EP ("Evil Heart", 2004), that they promoted taking part to various concerts in Genova, Italy, their hometown. Later on, they faced line-up problems, with the present one finally completed in the beginning of 2005.
The new line-up is tight and fierce as it has never been, and has been tested with the participation to various competitions. The repertoire is composed by many Graveyard Ghost original songs and by well-known heavy metal tunes.
As part of the promotional activities of 2005, the Graveyard Ghost have recorded an up-to-date version of Fear (originally contained in the Evil Heart EP) featuning the new line-up; additionally they have realized a video for the song itself; both the mp3 and the video are downloadable from the website. During June 2005, Fear's video has been broadcast on Sky television during the show "STAGE -- European Music Festival".
The band is now recording the songs for their new CD, whose tentative title will be "Omega". The CD will feature high quality production, modern sounds, fully acoustically recorded drums, but most importantly the HEART the GG put in everything they do.
