can anyone please explain me what Kikyo's purpose in this show is? I understand that she died protecting the jewel, being inuyasha's first love and Kagome's her reincarnation... but since she was revived by that witch all she does is walking around and confusing me. What is her mission?

It's not that I don't like Kikyo... It's just that I don't understand what she's doing in this show, besides being Inuyasha's first love and Kagome's older (what's the word for the person who you are reincarnated from?) I am watching this show for the first time so I probably need to rewatch it t...
