Hi there guys. I am Maria from Adelaide, the Southernest point of the ETTM fan border. A loyal of Elvis. I grew up with the man, I adore him and it is very difficult, next to impossible, for me to accept anyone who tries to emulate him in any way. Some years ago I went to see Max and I totally fell under a spell. I haven't managed to shake it off. He looks amazingly like E, I am only sorry you lose that on this little screen. The contours of his features, from his cheekbones, to the oval outline of his face, his nose, lips, thick glossy black hair and physical stature are completely similar to the King's, it is almost surreal. I am one of those people who cannot sacrifice visuals for audio. Sound is great but alone it doesn't quite get me there.
Members of the public who had their reservations about tribute artists like I did, have all been incredibly surprised after an outing to watch this wonderful man in my upload and that's because he is Elvis, to the MAX!
I understand the magnitude of what I am saying, I am not one of those people who will run to the shows of anyone remotely resembling Elvis. Yes I need my idol to be alive but I won't cling on to just any lie. Max is the real deal. On and off stage. Great guy both in and out of Elvis' persona.
I have never dealt with a more respectful, kind, well mannerred gentleman than Max.

This is a fan's corner here on youtube, not promotional spin by someone who has been paid to produce some lines for a performer. I feel all I say and do it with much love and genuineness. I prefer to create something out of true emotion or inspiration, I am not good for faking anything.
E has been a consolation to me, in times when the road gets rough. It may be not easy to understand where the other person is coming from, I don't know if you get me. I hear people say bands "on any other day" to quote my fave one have helped them through those "hard times" that come so easy. It's great, finding someone who can work such wonders. The truth is, there's no escaping the blues when things are that low. Elvis though touches parts of me nobody else can reach, no one else has access to. Had it not been for Max, whom I can transfer this in my tangeable world to, the path would have been a little more depressing. Perhaps this makes no sense, but we all need some connection to loved figures, especially when we identify with them at all sorts of levels.
For someone to have profound singificance for us, it needs to go far beyond a simple admiration. Elvis means too much in my world, in my mind and heart for me to be able to efficiently explain what I want to, in a few sentences or paragraphs. We connect with certain souls because we do. I have attempted to analyse my bond with the King in other pieces I have written, and his significance in my psyche but then again my relationship with him is unique because it is based on my experiences, how I interpret him, the places in me he touches and my life's journey. So no one else will fully grasp what I associate with Elvis or what his presence means within me. I know it sounds complex, believe me, it is much more than these words reveal. I'm not a weirdo who is obsessed with my favourite star and needs to revive him in some way. He is sacred territory to me because of his role in my journey ... I wish you had the time, analytical mind and interest so I could tell you ...
I don't know if I am lucky or cursed for finding Elvis, despite the comfort and warmth he provides. I'm glad I feel this passionately for another human ...
