There was a beautiful girl
In blue and silver dress
She sang to God in Heaven
And her voice pierced us on Earth
With so much pleasure like
Fresh rays of sun on spring time.
The stars sing all together
And hear the angel sing,
But they said they had never heard
Such a beautiful thing.
They whispered her name
She is Catherine Margaret
The most beautiful angel in heaves
And the most delightful voice.
Though the sound overpowers,
Sing again, Catherine Margaret
With thy sweet voice revealing
A tone of some world far from ours,
Where music and moonlight and feeling are one
