MARE NOSTRUM ELEMENTS is a versatile entity that acts as a Performance Group, Training Outlet and Production Company.
In its dedication to the expression of human emotion through dance, theater and movement, Mare Nostrum Elements strives to reduce the distance between artistic disciplines by exploring their points of intersection and sharing the results through performances, workshops and outreach programs.
Our main mission is to create emotionally-driven stage productions that explore and celebrate dance, theater and movement. In addition to creating original works, MNE acts as a production company for artists whose vision fits MNEs mission, as well as a training outlet in order to nurture and strengthen the performing arts community.
The name Mare (the sea) Nostrum (our) is the old Latin term used during the Roman Empire to refer to the Mediterranean Sea. The empire encompassed many nationalities and cultures that stretched around the sea;
Mare Nostrum was — and remains — the common element connecting people.
