To quote one of the world's top guitarist/teachers, "Angel can play the fastest, the loudest, for the longest." He is my favourite player not only because of this, but because his playing is so secure and musical; unfortunately, it seems he is somehow overshadowed by other, more well-known players.

I have been listening to Sabicas since the 80's, and this is the first time I have actually seen him play. I had no idea that it was so easy for him. He is definitely playing- not working.

Landmark performance that rivals the violin/cello arrangement. Lots of energy. His tone during this part of his career was incredibly clear and deep. But, it sounds like either the tape was old or someone recorded it off of the TV, maybe that's why some people didn't like it.

I saw Kemal perform some Liszt with the Edmonton Symphony this evening.....unbelievable technique with very believable musicality. This recording shows that he has no problems with technique or style. I have never heard anyone play Scarlatti like this. When/where can I purchase a recording?
