HUMBLE BEGINNINGS [1996- 97 Creation; 2007 Archived Non- Release] - A young MJ DARL!NG making PAUSE- MIXED beats to rhyme to, via dual cassette deck recording, karaoke machine plug- in and splicing sounds on cassette tape together with razor and scotch tape. Experiments in layering and tuning layered sound; a lot of work to make 'longhand' so that's why these ditties are so short and remain only basic groove patterns.

THE EARLY PAUSE- MIXES:
This is the chronicles of MJ, a young punk hip- hop kid who is about to figure out the missing link between himself & his destiny as a producer. Starting as a freestyler- turned- writer & being that there were very few full- fledged producers nor recording opportunities within his particular group of friends other than fellow freestylers with 'odds & ends' sound equipment that was handy- ..from an old beat- up karaoke machine, w/ dual cassette decks, a single belt- drive turntable & a pair of broken headphones for a mic running n2 it, MJ hacks out the primary basics of 'mixing' Sound. Some tracks [although all are short tracks due to having to manually SPLICE cassette tape together with a razor & scotch tape], similar to the Sun Ra Organics experiments from Alabama in the 1960s, said to be "communications to higher intelligences". These are MJ's LOGGED EXPERIMENTS in 'sonic decoupage' & mixing sounds from artists that he LOVES, also hearing new music inbetween with WHATEVER HE HAD lying around ['dirt- style', before it was cool] to work with.

TALES OF THE SOUTHERN CROSS [STARSH!P: Seraph M- 4026 Prequel; a TRUV!E Saga] THIS EPIC SAGA about a small group of close artistic friends whose bodies of work became so vivid & expressive of the higher dimensions, that it caused them to suddenly fall into what first appears to be a cool "kick- ass" fantasy world, but they soon find that in THIS new dimension, everyone's truest qualities are severely overt & friends aren't ALWAYS friends there, but can turn into violent enemy saboteurs, willing to sometimes do the unthinkable to keep destiny at bay, even to kill or to die. MJ Darl!ng & certain other veterans in their fields rise to "Omn!pax" status [equivalent to "Grand Master" status in Hip- Hop, being seasoned in more than 5 creative / performance art skills / elements; also Omn!pax being the highest commission short of death of an officer & public funeralization], where a whole new & higher level of revolutionary militarization called the TETRAPAX officers- ..their job? Creative quality control & life abundance regulation. Will they take one look at the humongous mission before them & run back to their limited, yet now- threatened existences? CAN they find it in themselves to help usher in a Supreme Destiny for All without losing nor destroying their friends & families in the process? WILL they be able to defend their Crown in MULTIPLE dimensions, when in the waking world, rent is still due, the kids need to be picked up from practice, punctual clock- ins are mandatory AND the car won't start? ARE they more than just artsy kids with over- active imaginations or is this the beginning of ETERNITY? WATCH & LISTEN.

B'HAM, AL 2003 - Two DJ crews spring from the same pod & eventually grow into their own respective & CONTRASTING styles. In the aggressive underground genre of DRUM & BASS, Majik City Junglists, the popular favorites, with their smooth mix- ins & remixes battle rag- tag Underd-gs ANOM!LE / Rocksol!D, whose style include tenacious yet intelligent beats & and an 'on- fire' attitude.
BOTH CREWS determined to give the audience a GREAT & AUTHENTIC BATTLE [not a 'tag- team' set DISGUISED as a battle] & bring new confidence, support & interest to the arena.

OPX's Tales of the Southern Cross LP [Excerpts]
ENTER THE OMN!PAX - In tradition of Southern storytelling and the "tall tale", the "Tales/TOSC" Hip- Hop/Electronica LP tells of a younger MJ and friends, already struggling in their artistic lives, one day receive unusual power and influence [quantification/quickening/acc<wbr>eleration] through their gifts of Creation, but also orders to protect, defend people they don't even [and will, in all likely probability, never] know and to prepare the way for their coming King of Creation.
But big changes has made some getting big heads with big ideas of fame, fortune and excess forgetting their purpose and eventually, their grip. Heck, they were only just trying to pay the rent, have a lil' oasis and make a lil' something beautiful without going crazy, NOW they've got to learn how to thrive in a most obvious split dimension where what they create can, through it's quantified strength, either create or destroy realities and cost or save LIVES [others' even moreso than their own]! And who is this King that "sent them"? Will we get to see this regal entrance? What of these 'orders' attached to their creative powers?
RETURN OF THE ELOHIYM [THE POWERS] - This TOSC album chronicles their journey and transformation into leaders/commanders of their own crafts [mediums of creation = STARSH!Ps] and become ready for EXCURSIONS BEYOND [the sequel LP by MJ's sound machine, the SERAPH M- 4026 = "spoiler alert"], then going boldly to the Throne of Creation itself for new orders, new intelligences and fantastic new adventures!
