The picture on the background is a horse sculpture stomping on a barbarian Hun. This horse sculpture can be found in the tomb of General Huo Qubing, which is part of Emperor Han Wudi's mausoleum complex near Xian. Huo was the greatest vanquisher of the barbarian Huns or Xiong Nu, driving them away from the Hexi Corridor. Many towns today in Gansu's Hexi corridor like Zhangye, Jiuquan are named after his exploits.
