Ladies LOVE men who cook.(tm) And if a 50-something bass player can cook interesting and tasty meals, you can, too!

I'm Lane Baldwin - a musician (see Lane on Bass channel) and businessman. Through this page, and its companion web site, I hope to introduce you to the fun of cooking. And I'll do it without making you spend an arm and a leg.

Despite its name, Manly Kitchen is for anyone new to cooking, or who wants to expand their horizons. Young adults setting up their first home; men who only grill; ladies who fear the unknown (recipe); anyone who wants to have more fun cooking, and to serve interesting meals.

In the Manly Kitchen, you'll learn:

What tools and equipment you need
How to create a well-stocked spice rack
How to fill your pantry with basic items you'll want to have around
How to plan a menu - and how to cook it all at once
Tips for entertaining
And, of course, a lot of fun recipes!

One thing you should know - I do my best to avoid the need for special (expensive) equipment and hard to find (expensive) food items. There are plenty of places you can learn to create expensive culinary triumphs. But, honestly, does that help you feed yourself and/or your family on a regular basis - and on a budget?

I'm just a regular guy. I wasn't trained in France. I don't have a custom kitchen. And I don't have a line of spices - yet! LOL. I love to cook, and I love to share with others. So join me for a serious helping of fun. And of course you can have seconds!
