Hello,
My name is Mandy, I am a HUGE Elvis Presley fan have been all my life. All my life has been filled with Elvis' music, and I can't imagine what life would be without it..... and I don't want to.
I have been to Graceland and what a experience it was. I went in 2007 for Elvis Presley's 30th Anniversary. I stayed at Elvis Presley's Heartbreak Hotel for 2 weeks and they played Elvis' music and movies 24/7 just a few blocks from those magical gates and the mansion just beyond. I walked up Elvis Presley's Boulevard saw all the attractions there was to see in, and around Memphis even went to the zoo too. I left flowers on all the graves in the meditation garden soooooo sad. :( I went on tour of his two custom airplanes just saw everything really all the clothes, jumpsuits, jewelry, automobiles, the wedding outfits, all Lisa Marie's things just lots and lots to see.
I was signing the wall at Graceland and Sirius Satellite Radio DJ Doc Walker came and asked me questions about my visit and my thoughts on Elvis. I didn't know he was recording me at the time even though he had a mic LOL must of been the heat it got to me a little LOL anyway he was a lovely man to talk too. The interview had finished and I went back to Heartbreak Hotel. The next day. I was sat outside the Hotel and my interview came on the outside speakers. I was really embarrassed as it was me, and Doc walker chatting at the wall LOL I never had a clue it would play there but it did and felt privileged it had. Doc Walker has worked in radio ''on and off '' for 25 years and of course
he's a huge Elvis fan. What a job to play Elvis' music 24/7
Was given a very precious poster of Elvis from the hotel manager of Heartbreak Hotel. Which I framed it's my pride and joy. Not many Elvis fans have the poster so lucky me! I went to the famous Marlowe's restaurant & there ribs are simply delicious had them delivered at Heartbreak Hotel too. And went in the pink cadillac limo at Marlowe's Memphis
I went to the legendary Sun Studio Memphis,Tennsesse. Visited Tupelo for a private tour of the Elvis Presley birthplace his schools and a visit to Tupelo Hardware Store Had my picture taken alongside the ''Elvis at 13 statue'' Went to the museum too. Never left a stone unturned at Tupelo. I wanted to visit Tupelo first before I visited Graceland. I wanted to walk in the footsteps of the King of Rock 'n' Roll to where it all started to where it all sadly ended and that's exactly what I did. And it was worth every single penny
I went to Beale street saw the statue of Elvis it's along Beale Street famous for its blues clubs in downtown Memphis. Went to the other Elvis Statue situated on Beale Street the (Visitors Center) Elvis Presley on Beale Street to B.B. King in the Riverside Drive Visitor Center. And that visitors center place took some finding. I couldn't help but touch it though and oh damn I set the alarms off. I couldn't resist though LOL I thought oh god i'm in trouble now. But the security guards were exceptionally understanding lucky me! again! LOL I went on the Mississippi Steamboat, the duck ride, went on lots of tours, horse and cart rides, went to the Green Screen, had my photo took with the King, then was put in the '68 comeback special DVD oh, the wonders of technology. Elvis singing memories especially for me at the end, now that! was awesome and amazing. I will truly treasure the DVD went to the cafes, oh, everything really went to a few ETA's shows there too. Went to see the ducks of the Peabody's lobby fountain. Bought lots of Elvis memorabilia.
Definitely an experience I shall never forget. If you haven't been to Graceland you really must go, It's a must see, for all great Elvis fans.
My final thought on Elvis. He was so hot he would make the devil sweat. Elvis, ''Thank you very much''
When they named him the King they named him right !

So I leave behind my music and song to give to the ages to come. Please cry no longer for you see I'm not really gone. I've just finished this concert and I must move on.
