For tributes to the classics! :)

Hey everyone. :)
Welcome to my newest channel!
I've had about 4 since 2005. Youtube enjoys suspending accounts. I really miss having such a large audience, and I miss having all of my old tributes on here. You can probably tell this new channel isn't anything like what it use to be.

Originally know for my 'Carl Switzer' tributes spanning from 2006 - 2009.
They grew to be extremely popular with the youtube community....some having as many from 50 to 80 thousand views (& that's just counting 2 separate tributes alone!)

Anyways, I hope ya like my channel. It's not great, because youtube is a bully now, but the tribues I mostly make now-a-days are of Carl Switzer, jsyk. :)

Youtube has become EXTREMELY STRICT with content featured in videos, it's ridiculous, therefore refraining me from sharing all of my past videos with you. This channel has little to offer now.

Wow, Mandy...you found so much stuff. How did you come across that 1953 quote? That falls right into theories I had before when arguing with asshats who took what writers Dick Bann and A.J. Benza wrote and said making Switzer come off as desparate for acting work. I maintained back then as I do now if that he probably enjoyed doing the guide work, being outdoors and stuff. What you're doing is awesome! :o)

@peapod52, Did a guy named Ernie talk to you a few years back? He helped in some research that I did about 10 years ago regarding Switzer's death and he told me he spoke to one of Jack Piott's kids who told him that the judge told him to leave town around the time of the inquest. Is this true?

to peapod, if you come back here and read this.
i'm so sorry what happened with your father. It must be terribly painful.

When I was seven we were told never to speak of this event. My father Jack Piott was in big trouble. Yes Carl's friend that night was my father. It isn't something I relish or speak of very often. My father later told me the whole story (his version). I was interviewed years ago by a film group wanting to find out more about what had happened that night. My father wasn't at fault for what happened it was just a very wrong set of circumstances that transpired that night. When I was little watching Our Gang comedies was always a little weird for me. My father died many years ago but he did pass his story on to me. J.Piott

Yeah I haven't seen too many pre-code films I don't think but it's interesting the amount of things they were able to get away with as compared to a little bit later. Yeah "Gone With the Wind" was alright but in my opinion it was a little bit overrated and doesn't translate too well to today's time. I agree though it is hard to choose just one actor or movie. I agree with you on Cagney though he was such a talent. "Yankee Doodle Dandy" and "Angels with Dirty Faces" are two of my favourites of his and they just show that he could play a tough gangster or song and dance man equally well. I like a lot of Clark Gable's earlier films too plus some of the classic comedy teams from around that era. Besides "Our Gang/The Little Rascals" lol.

What would you say is your favourite classic movie?
wink12345 (2 months ago)
No problem and you too! Yeah it's too bad most of the rascals were typecast and not able to do much when they grew older. All I'd ever seen Carl in when he was older was that scene in "It's a Wonderful Life". Anyway glad to know there's someone else under the age of 30 that appreciates vintage and classic movies and actors :)

Hi just found your channel while looking up Our Gang/Little Rascals videos. Great tributes to Carl Switzer. It is hard to believe he did many things besides his gang work. Too tragic an end though. Anyway though great channel!
