@PolarPhantom I really think the fan translator was mocking Japanese pronunciations of English words... Gorem instead of Golem because they have difficulty saying "r"s vs "L"s, same with Durahan in stead of Dullahan... This seems to apply as well Asashin instead of Assassin.

@Piisuke It seems to me that a lot of the monsters in this fan translations had "L"s and "R"s reversed, perhaps mocking how the Japanese have difficulty pronouncing those letters.
