"I'm Having Rather Troublesome Difficulty Feeling Happy Lately, but You Could Change That if You Play Your Cards Right, Sweetheart"?
Hi, my name is Lyssandra and I'm a huge Panic! At The Disco fan...I have seen them in concerts, have merchandise obviously, and wanted to meet them so BADLY! And finally have now, since I met them Feb. 12, 2008 at the Henry Fonda Theater. I hugged Jon and Spencer, shook Brendon's hand.I received all their autographs including their special guest Pete Wentz (shook his hand as well). BEST DAY OF MY LIFE! After shaking Brendon's hand I told him "You just made my life, I love you guys SO MUCH, you guys are awesome!" He actually replied back to me saying "Thanks for the flattery, we Love it." That was better than all of my dreams of meeting them put together! (in total I've had about 16 of meeting them and every dream was different)
Did you know George Ryan Ross III's wisdom teeth didn't fully grow in until he was 20...and that Brendon Boyd Urie was popular in middle school and also loves walking around naked (hell yeah) in his house. "Lying Is The Most Fun A Girl Can Have Without Taking Her Clothes Off" and "But It's Better If You Do" both came from the movie (Closer) which stars Natalie Portman whose line is "Lying Is The Most Fun A Girl Can Have Without Taking Her Clothes Of...But It's Better If You Do". "I Write SIns Not Tragedies" was derived from a nvel called (Shampoo PLanet) and was written by Douglas Coupland. "The Only Difference Between Martrydom and Suicide Is Press Coverage" was derived from another novel called (Survivor) by Chuck Palahniuk.
"We're SO Starving" was written in Ryan's old house, in his kitchen.
"Nine In The Afternoon" was written in their old practice space which doesn't have windows, and Spencer asked,"What time is it?" Ryan answered, "7 in the afternoon"
and then they thought it fit with their song, and changed 7 to 9 to fit perfectly. It was the first song written for Pretty.Odd., and first song off Pretty.Odd. to have a music video, which first aired Feb. 10, 2008.
"She's A Handsome Woman" is actually what their music producer (Rob Mathes) always used to say, and they found it hilarious and decided to use it for a song.
"Do You KNow What I'm Seeing" was written in Ryan's backyard and actually the second song written for Pretty.Odd. Jon said it was lovely weather of about 80 degrees.
"That Green Gentleman" was written in C Major, and was said to air May 2, 2008. and was filmed feb 11-14, 2008.
"I Have Friends In Holy Spaces" was actually a song Brendon just made up out of the blue, and the band told him to throw it on the album, which made him happy.
"Northen Downpour"- the line "I Know The World's a Broken Bone, but melt your headache call it home" meant the most to the band. Jon wrote melody for the verse, and wanted to change it, but Ryan loved it, so he immediately wrote words so Jon couldn't change it..ha
"When The Day Met The Night" has strings and horns used, which Ryan thought should have been used in AFYCSO.
"Pas De Cheval" was a song they actually threw together as Brendon's "I Have Friends in Holy Spaces".
"The Piano Knows Something I Don't Know" is one of the most experimental songs on the album, and has no chorus.
"Behind The Sea", Ryan was happy to sing a whole song with himself as the lead on that song.
"Folkin' Around" was supposed to be a classical nostalgic, not difficult.
"She Had The World" took the longest to make, and that was the first time they took "chances".
"From a Mountain In The Middle Of The Cabins" is about the whole album slowly coming to peace and end.
"Mad As Rabbits" was made in a day, it took one whole Saturday, and Brendon plays Bass on song, while Jon switched to guitar. "Reinnvent Love" was their new way to this peace.
PATD's music is great...you know what.... It's better than great, it's the BEST! Anyone has anything negative to say about them, then screw you, you have no idea what good music is if it hit you in your head! So just back off and don't bother adding me if you'll talk bad about them, well that's all for now....
