I don't mean to go all nerdy on you, man. I'm a mutual fan of Robotech but...the show "Super Dimension Fortress Macross" aired in '82 and provided the source material for Robotech. Macross: Do You Remember Love came out in '84. It was based on the show and not vice versa.
