Maizurah has been performing since she was seven. She first came to stardom after qualifying as a finalist in Singapore's Talentime in 1988. She was then offered a recording contract with Warner/WEA and produced her first self-titled album Maizurah. As a singer, actress and dancer she has a string of awards including Most Popular Foreign Female Artiste (South Korea, 1994), Most Promising Actress Award (12th Film Festival of Malaysia 1995/6) and Best New Actress in a Telemovie (Ika Arkasya in the Asian Television Awards 1997)

Her performance has taken her across many cities in Asia including Japan, Korea, Bangkok, Shanghai, Kazahkstan, and Guam

In 1992 her 1st English album was produced by Ben Findon titled "Wrong Girl" sold over 100 000 copies in Korea alone and was released in many other cities including Japan.

The second album, Be Good To me was later recorded in 2 very famous studios in Beverly Hills . One named Capital studios used by the late Michael Jackson and produced by Joey Carbone an American producer. This album sold over 30 000 in Japan alone and Be Good To Me, topped the charts in some radio station at no 4.

THAT"S The WAY LOVE IS is the 3rd album, produced by Mark Saunders, one who has worked with Lisa Stansfield
