About Me:

I speak Persian (Farsi), Azeri, Arabic, English, Urdu, French, and conversational German (Deutsch).

I am an avid fan of history (especially military history & the history of art and architecture) , poetry, philosophy, linguistics (primarily centered around Iranic tongues), comparative religion studies, and economics.

I have a keen interest in foreign cultures. I have had an opportunity to travel to different countries and meet people from different backgrounds. It can be said that tolerance and respect alone can bring down all prejudices and bring people closer.

Quotations that Inspire me:
----------------------------------------------------------
- One who rushes madly after inordinate desire, runs the risk of encountering destruction and death. (Imam Ali AS)

- Whoever wants to be a leader should educate himself before educating others. Before preaching to others he should first practice himself. Whoever educates himself and improves his own morals is superior to the man who tries to teach and train others. (Imam Ali AS)

- There is only one good, knowledge, and one evil, ignorance.
(Socrates)

- When you know a thing, to hold that you know it; and when you do not know a thing, to allow that you do not know it - this is knowledge.
(Confucius)
Country:
France
Interests:
History, Philosophy, Art, Architecture, and Religion
Books:
I have a strong appetite for books. The number I have read is quiet numerous. I will mention only some of the more influential works that I have read: Holy Quran, Najhul-Balaga (Sermons of Imam Ali AS), Books of the Bible, Avesta, Analects (Confucious), Homer's Iliad and Odyssey, The Republic (Plato), Aeneid (Virgil), History of the Peloponnesian War, Works by Martin Luther, The Wealth of Nations (Adam Smith), War and Peace (Leo Tolstoy), On War (Claus Von Clausewitz), Communist Manifesto, and Thus Spake Zarathustra (Nietzsche) amongst others...

Do you know where I might find a copy of Ravayat-e Fath with english or spanish subtitles? I haven't been able to find anything and I'm very interested in learning more about this war and Iran. Thanks.
