About this user

A devoted player of the diatonic harmonica. Though very passionate about blues and jazz, constantly exploring world music: Anatolian, Balkan, African, klezmer, Arabian, tango and Finnish folk music to name a few.

Some call me Jay Sinister, some others Triple-J. My mom calls me Jantso.

With my comrade Touko Hujanen we form Ataturk Band, a powerful circus act that combines the best elements of Eastern and Western acrobatic traditions, flamboyant ballet moves and bird imitations. With this innovative mixture we won the National Championship of Multicultural Streetplaying in Karjaa, Finland (july 2007).

In 2009 I was awarded with the "outstanding 3rd prize" in the World Harmonica Contest, Open Category. The tune was my Arabian composition "Totafot".
