Blowout on Natural Hair

235,046 views 5 months ago
Hi guys!
Today I will be showing you all how I achieve my blow out. Blowing out your hair is a fun and stylish way to change your look! :)

Products Used:
Deep Conditioner: Shea Moisture Deep Treatment Masque
Leave In: Shea Moisture Leave in Detangler
Oil: Shea Moisture Reconstructive Elixir

Step one: Cowash and Deep Condition (I cowash my hair prior to dcing)

Step two: Apply your leave in of choice. I chose a light moisturizing leave in

Step: three: Section hair, begin blowing it out using the tension method (I created four sections) if your hair is thicker you may have to make smaller sections)

Step four: after blowing out your hair apply an oil or product that is not water based that will aid in shine.

Step five (opt) take a paddle brush and detangle blown out hair with low air to remove any tangles and to smooth your hair (I finger detangled my hair while I was blowing it dry)

Note: I used warm air this time. You can use cool air also it may take longer.

It took me about 45minutes to do this ..the entire process. About 20 minutes to blow it dry. I feel that the tension method helps a lot and speed up the process. I am not worried about heat damage because I do not do this often. I also blew my hair dry on warm air using the lowest setting.

Nighttime hair:
low pony or bun. I sleep on my satin pillowcase

Weekly maintenance
I usually apply a little more oil around mid week (this will vary from person) and gently brush or finger detangle my hair (if I have tangles)

This is the only time I use a brush on my hair. I wear my hair curly 98% of the time. :)

Thank you so much for your support and thanks for watching
