I just got a PS3 about six weeks ago and this game happened to catch my eye. And I'll admit, I have some mixed feelings about this game. On one hand, this game is a neat little mix between an arcade shooter and an arcade fighter. And it's a system that while it can use a good deal of tweaks, is pretty solid and fun to play. But one of the things that keep me from praising this game is the fact that there is NO ONLINE PLAY for this game what so ever. And to top it off, there's no clear instructions on how to do anything in the game either. Nothing in game ever tells you that hitting X during a Square dash can get you a different move, for instance. So when you first pick up and play this game, you're not going to know even half of what any of these characters to do with no clear tutorial to tell you.
Which brings me to this video. Since there's no online play, naturally you're stuck playing against the AI unless you have friends to get to play with you in which case they'll know just as little about what they're doing then you do if not less. And the AI is really easy to exploit even on Hard Mode as you can see here.
QP is the final boss of the "Pudding" Story Arc. (Don't ask.) You can also unlock her after you beat her here. But the AI seems to have trouble fending off against long range scrub tactics at times. Even on Hard Mode, it can't seem to figure out that, "If I don't stand still and spam shit, I won't get hit." This makes certain AI characters REALLY hate Saki. What you see me spamming here is Saki's Dashing X. Each time you do this, two orbs will come out of her back and grow. When they get large enough, their hit box activates and they'll chase the opponent around a bit putting pressure on them. A human opponent wouldn't have trouble avoiding these and their application would just be limited to keeping him/her on the defensive. But the AI has trouble against these things and you get what you see in this video. And because of things like this, there's no real way to get good at the game without any real competition.
But still despite my gripes, $6 is not a bad price for this game. And if you have a group of friends to play this with, this would be a good change of pace from Street Fighter 4 and Mortal Kombat 9. For the low price, try it out and see how you and your buddies like it. Just make sure you can tell them how to play the damn game first.

There really isn't much to this guy except that you need a good deal of luck not to get fucked over by him. Your really only offensive option against him is to spam L1+Circle constantly and stay as close to the center of him as possible so that his lasers miss you completely. When he pushes you away, you want to stay away from him facing you so he doesn't spray you with more lasers as you dash in or (if he's down to his last health bar) smack you with that Mega Particle Cannon of his.
This is by no means full proof, though. He can push you off at really nasty times and you'll end up sailing into one of his volleys of missiles or one of those big rotating things of which both can take massive chunks of your health away.
Suguri's standing Triangle is purely a defensive tactic for the most part though you don't see me use it as such in this video. You can find yourself in the middle of bullet hell against this guy and burning a stock will make you invulnerable for a good chunk of time. But it does very little damage against Robo.

I have a cold sorry about all the coughing.
The ps2 tool is a complex system for development of ps2 games. Using a special ps2 mainboard, backplane and single board computer in one, the ps2 tool is one of the most intricate dev systems ever made due to it being designed around style, not function. The ps3 dev system would be a plain box, not a beautiful elaborate tower like the ps2 tool.
Weighing in at approximately 40 pounds, it's heavy and hard to ship.
