Useful definitely... Got a netbook for my daughter for xmas, but only 11.10 will see the wifi/sound, so I installed it (using 10.04 myself). While unity is pretty and what not, it's clumsy and I definitely thank you for this quick fix. :)

The process is interesting, but having to jack the volume wide open to hear what is being said sucks. Get a capture card and do it right. Don't waste our time with camcorder crap.
