"Miles for Mum" - 19455 days x 140.6 miles
The MACCANOW foundation was started by Chris McCormack with a pledge to his dying mother who passed away from Breast Cancer to raise money for every mile he runs during Ironman. The Miles for Mum program is a testament to Theresa Lily McCormack, mother of two boys - Chris and Steve as well as her daughter - Erin. Teri was a national netball coach/manager as well as a brilliant school teacher in Sydney.
MACCA has helped his own foundation and others including Challenged Athletes Foundation, Susan Komer Foundation and BPM Asia raise millions of dollars toward cancer awareness.
