About Mechanicsville Volunteer Fire Department
Since the Departments inception after a fire destroyed many public and private buildings in Mechanicsville in 1934, Mechanicsville Volunteer Fire Department has been a close knit family. With members from across the street to out of state serving in the armed services the Mechanicsville Volunteer Fire Department has been serving the citizens of its coverage area as well as those in other areas under mutual aid agreements exceptionally since its small beginnings.
The Mechanicsville Volunteer Fire Department is one hundred percent volunteer looking for anyone willing to join in the Operational status running calls, as well as Administrative members looking to assist in the day to day running of a incorporated company, as well as joining the Ladies Auxiliary helping to raise funds for the department.
