Jeff Davis (Executive Producer/Writer)

Jeff Davis is the developer and executive producer for "Teen Wolf." Davis' previous credits include creating and co-executive producing the hit CBS series "Criminal Minds," now in its 6th season. In addition to "Teen Wolf" and "Criminal Minds," he has written television pilots for The SyFy Channel, ABC, ABC Studios, Fox 21 and Twentieth Century Fox Television.

Davis started out his creative career in film, having optioned his first screenplay just three months after graduation. He has sold feature films to companies such as Dimension Films and Paramount Pictures and is currently working on another screenplay.

He graduated Vassar College with a bachelor's degree in film and went on to earn a master's degree in screenwriting from the University of Southern California. He was born in Milford, CT, and resides in Los Angeles.

MTV is getting in to the werewolf business. Why not? The CW is loaded with vampires and werewolves well are cooler than vampires, right?

The 80's classic movie is being re-made as television series on MTV. 'Teen Wolf" will be putting together 12 original episodes as production on the series will begin this summer.

Who's the werewolf? Tyler Posey from ABC's 'Brothers and Sisters' is taking that role playing 'Scott McCall.' Dylan O'Brien plays his best friend 'Stiles' along with Crystal Reed plays 'Allison' the new girl in town. Tyler Hoechlin form '7th Heaven' plays the old school werewolf in the series.

For trivia fans Michael J. Fox played the original 'Teen Wolf' back in 1985. And there was a "Teen Wolf Too' production as well which featured Fox's cousin Jason Bateman.

SERIES OVERVIEW:

MTV's "Teen Wolf" is a sexy, suspenseful drama about transformation set against the backdrop of contemporary teen life with a forbidden, romantic love story at its core, making it a fresh and different take on the iconic movie. The hour-long 12-episode series will debut on June 5, immediately following the MTV Movie Awards at 11/10c, and will air regularly on Monday nights at 10/9c, beginning June 6.

The series stars Tyler Posey as the newly bitten werewolf 'Scott McCall;' Crystal Reed as the mysterious new girl in town 'Allison Argent;' Dylan O'Brien as Scott's best friend 'Stiles;' Tyler Hoechlin as 'Derek Hale,' the beta wolf who is guiding Scott through his transformation; Holland Roden as 'Lydia Martin,' the popular girl with a secret; and Colton Haynes as 'Jackson Whittemore,' Scott's arch rival on the lacrosse team.

Always an outsider and often unnoticed, Scott McCall yearns to be recognized in some small way that takes him out of his typical state of high school anonymity. When Stiles convinces him to go into the woods one night to join a police search for a dead body, Scott encounters a creature in the darkness. Narrowly escaping an attack with a vicious bite in his side, the next day brings strange surprises for Scott at school and his life will never be the same.

"Teen Wolf" was developed by Jeff Davis (creator, "Criminal Minds") who also serves as executive producer. Additional executive producers include Marty Adelstein ("Prison Break"), Michael Thorn, René Echevarria ("Medium," "Castle"), Tony DiSanto and Liz Gateley. Russell Mulcahy ("Highlander," "Resident Evil: Extinction") is co-executive producer. The pilot was written by Jeff Davis and Jeph Loeb & Matthew Weisman and directed by Russell Mulcahy. The "Teen Wolf" series is based on a Screenplay by Jeph Loeb & Matthew Weisman. David Janollari and Justin Levy are the MTV executives in charge of production. The series is a co-production with MGM, in association with Lost Marbles Productions, Inc., First Cause, Inc. and DiGa.
